The Starting Point - Ben Hope

Ben Hope in Sutherland will be the starting point. It rises to a height of 927m (3041 feet) to the east of Loch Hope and south west of Tongue. Its name is derived from the Gaelic for "hill of the bay".

Over the years I have got to know and love my home country with a particular love for being in the mountains and sea-kayaking.
For a long time I have thought about walking all the munros continuously and what started as a dream a few years ago has now become a personal challenge.
I am planning to walk all the munros this summer continuously,solo and by foot except for 2 fantastic sea kayak journeys from Kyle to either Loch Scavaig(preferable) or Loch Sligachan on Skye, then down to Mallaig. The final part of my journey will be a sea kayak from Fort William (after coming off Ben Nevis) down Loch Linnhe and the Sound of Mull to Loch Spelve finishing on Ben More in late August.
The journey will start on Ben Hope in Sutherland and shall cover some 1600 miles.
It is the first time this particular journey shall have been carried out by a female.
